LOOP DARLING ♡ / HELP CENTER / PROGRESS TRACKING

Rows, Stitches & Timers

Counters and timers should help you craft, not make you fight the interface. Loop Darling keeps row progress, stitch checkpoints and work time as separate pieces of information.

Completed rows versus the working row

The saved row counter represents rows you’ve finished. For example, if the counter reads 8 completed rows, the row you’re working on next is row 9.

Use + and − or the direct count adjustment when you need to correct your progress. A correction is not proof that the app saw you knit or crochet.

Finish a row

Tap Row Complete when you actually finish a row or round. The app advances the completed-row counter and resets the current stitch checkpoint for the new row.

The pattern step navigator and the completed-row counter are deliberately separate when reading source passages. Finishing a row does not mean you finished an entire PDF passage.

Use the timer

Tap anywhere on the timer card to start or pause it. The elapsed-time state is saved so the app can reconstruct work time after an interruption.

If you leave a timer running, elapsed time may continue until you pause it. Review unexpectedly long sessions rather than treating a timer as proof of continuous stitching.

Keep the screen awake

In a project, use the Screen stays on setting to keep the display active while you work. You can turn it off so the device returns to its normal screen timeout.

Keeping the screen active can drain battery. It does not stop the phone’s physical lock button from working.

Loopi Row Reminders

Optional Loopi Row Reminders tell you which row you’re currently working on when you pause or resume. They calculate the next row from completed rows; they do not interpret arbitrary PDF instructions.

Stockinette Mode

If you’re knitting stockinette, you can select an explicit sequence: flat knit on odd rows, flat purl on odd rows, or knit every round. Loopi can then suggest knit or purl on row/timer changes.

These reminders are only as accurate as the sequence you choose. Borders, shaping, piece resets and unusual instructions may change what the row requires. Always follow the designer’s original pattern.
