When can I publish my Designer shop? Stripe, 2FA & test previews

You can apply to become a Loop Darling Designer, receive approval, and build your shop privately without connecting Stripe or setting up two-factor authentication (2FA). Those security steps become necessary when you want to open a real, public shop.

What can I do at each stage?

Applying: Sign in with your Member account, submit an application, and wait for review. No Stripe connection or mandatory 2FA is needed just to apply.

Approved, but still preparing: Work in Designer Studio, set up your shop, save private patterns or handmade listings, and submit work for review. Approval does not automatically make your storefront public.

Ready to open for paid business: Complete verified live Stripe Connect payout onboarding and set up an authenticator-app 2FA factor. Publication requires a recent two-factor-verified sign-in as well as your explicit choice to publish.

Why do I need Stripe before my shop becomes public?

Loop Darling requires a real, verified way to receive earnings before we allow a normal paid storefront to go public. Stripe must confirm onboarding is complete, transfers and payouts are active, and no outstanding requirements prevent payouts. Simply opening a Stripe link or returning to Loop Darling does not mean verification has finished.

You do not need to send your bank account number, government ID, or tax documents to Loop Darling support. When live onboarding becomes available, enter required financial and identity details through the secure Stripe flow.

How does 2FA work?

Two-factor authentication adds a code from an authenticator app to your normal sign-in. You can set up an authenticator in Account Settings and enroll an additional backup authenticator where available. For real publication, you must have at least one verified factor and complete a fresh 2FA-verified sign-in. Ordinary Members and Designers who are still preparing private drafts are not required to turn 2FA on.

Protect access to your authenticator. If you lose your device, contact support@loopdarling.com for account-recovery guidance. Never share verification codes with anyone, including someone claiming to be Loop Darling staff.

What if Stripe needs attention after I publish?

If payout verification expires, becomes unavailable, or a verified 2FA factor is removed, your ordinary public storefront may become hidden until you resolve the issue. Your saved drafts and previous earnings records are not discarded merely because the storefront is temporarily unavailable.

Can staff publish my shop for me?

No. Normal Designer approval does not bypass financial verification or 2FA. A narrow test-preview exception exists only for active Loop Darling administrators previewing their own approved Designer storefront. It is not a way for Designers or moderators to skip payout setup.

What is an admin test storefront?

An administrator can explicitly activate a time-limited 24-hour test preview of their own approved shop, with a typed confirmation and audit record. It may be visible at its direct URL for layout checks, but it is kept out of ordinary Designer discovery and paid catalog listings. No real checkout, transfer, or payout is authorized by a test preview.

This is different from the fictional sample data in ordinary Test Mode, which does not publish a real storefront at all.

Is Stripe onboarding available today?

Loop Darling’s live Designer payment and payout experience is still being prepared. You can work on your approved private shop now; we’ll make the real Stripe onboarding steps available when the live selling flow is ready. Never assume a demo balance represents real earnings.
