1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Loop Darling ♡ handles information associated with visits to loopdarling.com, newsletter subscriptions, website communications, and the account features we plan to introduce. Loop Darling is currently a prelaunch website. Public member and designer account registration, marketplace checkout, and cloud project syncing are not yet available.

2. Information we collect now

  • Information you provide: If you subscribe to launch updates, we receive or can access the email address you enter and subscription status. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to share in your message.
  • Technical and usage information: Website and service providers may process IP addresses, browser/device details, visited pages, approximate location, referral sources, and timestamps to deliver the site, maintain security, and measure performance.
  • Theme preference: The website saves a theme setting in your browser’s local storage. This setting is not currently associated with a Loop Darling member account.
  • Newsletter interactions: Our email delivery service may process confirmation, delivery, unsubscribe, and related technical events to operate the newsletter.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, protect, and improve the website and its accessibility.
  • To send launch news and occasional Loop Darling updates when you subscribe, and to process unsubscribe requests.
  • To answer questions, handle support requests, and prevent misuse or security incidents.
  • To understand overall website performance and meet applicable legal obligations.

4. Newsletter choices

Subscribing to website updates is voluntary and does not create a Loop Darling app account, designer account, or marketplace reservation. You may unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter email. We may retain limited subscription or suppression records when needed to honor unsubscribe requests and prevent unwanted mail.

5. Future Loop Darling accounts and marketplace

We plan to offer member accounts, designer tools, and possibly account-based project syncing and purchases. These features are not live. If introduced, we expect to need information appropriate to each feature, such as an email address, account identifiers, login credentials handled securely, saved project or pattern data you choose to sync, designer profile details, and order or payment-related records. We will explain the actual data collected, payment processors, retention, and account controls before those features launch, and update this policy accordingly.

The current Android beta saves project progress locally on the device; signing up for website news does not transfer that local data to an online account. This page is the website privacy notice, not a claim that future account or payment services already operate.

6. Who may process information

We use third-party services to provide website hosting, site security, visitor statistics, and email subscriptions. These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. We do not currently sell newsletter subscriber email addresses or operate a live marketplace that shares buyer information with designers. If our practices change, we will update this notice.

7. Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including maintaining subscriptions, handling requests, protecting the site, and meeting legal requirements. Our service providers may maintain their own logs, backups, and retention schedules. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails, clear your browser’s theme storage, or adjust browser cookie settings. You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, subject to applicable legal requirements. To help us find a subscription, contact us using the email address you subscribed with. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

9. International visitors and children

Website and newsletter service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Privacy rights vary by location, and we will respond to requests as required by applicable law. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children without any consent that applicable law requires; please contact us if you believe a child submitted information improperly.

External websites and services linked from Loop Darling have their own privacy practices. We may update this policy when the website, newsletter, or future account features change.
