Your public username and profile links
Your Loop Darling username is the shared handle used for your optional Maker page and, if approved, your Designer storefront.
Choose your username when you sign up
During account creation, the website checks whether your chosen public username is available. This becomes the shared address portion of /m/your-handle/ and /d/your-handle/.
A username is different from your display name. You can choose a different public display name for your Maker page and Designer shop. Your email address is not used as a public URL.
Do both pages have to be public?
No. Your Maker page is private until you publish it. An approved Designer can separately publish a storefront. They use the same account handle, but their content and visibility are managed independently.
Can I change my username?
You can make an initial username correction, then wait 30 days between later changes. Username changes affect both Maker and Designer page links, so check the spelling before saving.
Use the username controls in your public profile editor; some previously used links may remain reserved or redirect, and another account cannot simply claim your old identity.
What if my name is unavailable?
Try a different spelling or a distinctive variation. Some words are reserved to avoid conflicts with important website routes. If you believe your identity has been impersonated, contact support@loopdarling.com with the public links and a description.
Can I keep my name private?
You can leave your Maker page unpublished, but a published Designer shop will have a public handle and whatever shop details you choose to display. Keep private contact information out of public bios and links.
