What does Loop Darling charge designers?

Opening a Designer shop is free. Loop Darling takes 3% of each completed Marketplace sale.

The Marketplace fee

Loop Darling’s commission is 3% of a completed Marketplace sale, whether you sell a digital pattern or a handmade item. There is no listing fee, application fee or monthly fee for having a Designer shop.

You do not have to purchase a paid Studio or Atelier app subscription to become a Designer.

Other costs are separate

Payment processing, applicable bank-payout fees, taxes, refunds and chargebacks are separate from Loop Darling’s 3% commission.

An example of the 3% fee

For a $10 pattern sale, the Loop Darling Marketplace commission would be $0.30. The amount the seller receives would also depend on any actual processing fees, taxes, refunds or other disclosed applicable charges.

Is the 25% subscription support another sales fee?

No. The 25% designer subscription share is a separate program funded from a qualifying Member’s paid Studio or Atelier subscription. It is not an extra 25% deducted from your pattern sale, and it is not a second stacked referral commission.

One eligible Designer receives the share for each qualifying paid membership after the subscriber sees and confirms who they’re supporting.

Can I receive payouts yet?

Not yet. Designer Studio may show sample earnings, but these aren’t real balances. No orders or bank payouts are being processed through Loop Darling.
